Errors / Network errors
net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
The page asked for something on a web address that does not exist, or no longer does.
Whatever came from that address (a script, an image, a font) is missing.
Why it happens
- A domain that expired or was shut down: an old analytics tool, a dead CDN, a vendor that went out of business, still referenced by the page.
- A typo in a URL, or a subdomain that was never created in DNS.
- On the visitor's side: a DNS problem, a VPN, or a network that blocks the domain.
How to fix it
- Look up the domain (
digor any DNS lookup site): no answer means it is gone; remove or replace the reference. - If it is your own subdomain, add the DNS record.
- If it only fails for some visitors, it is their network, not your site.
Whose problem it is
Either the site's own code or a third party's, depending on where it comes from.
