Errors / Network errors
net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
The visitor's ad blocker or privacy extension stopped the request.
For visitors with a blocker, anything that script did is missing; if your page waits on it, more than that.
Why it happens
- An extension (uBlock Origin, AdBlock, Ghostery, Privacy Badger) matched the URL: analytics, ads and trackers most often.
- Paths with words like
ads,trackoranalyticsget blocked even when they are your own features. - It never happens in a browser with no extensions, which is how Broken Here's checker runs.
How to fix it
- Nothing to fix for trackers: make the page work without them.
- If one of your own features is blocked, rename paths and files that look like ads or tracking.
- Never let the rest of the page depend on a script that may be blocked.
Whose problem it is
Usually the visitor's own browser or network.
